2009 Toledo Events

Great Lakes Challenge - July 31-Aug.2

The exact dates were determined for the '2009 GLC this year. Two days of practice, two days of qualifying and mains on Sunday.    We will put the entry form out at the end of April and hope everyone will be able to come out and scream their monkey.
We will be reserving local motel rooms for the event. Please ask for a Great Lakes Challenge reserved room.  Please refer to the local accomodations page here on the site for information as to which hotels we recommend. These hotels should save you $5 to $10 per night.

May 2-3 2009

The One Eighth Racers of Toledo is host to one of the oldest on road radio control racing programs in North America, the Midwest Series, celebrating its 40th season in 2009. The club has hosted the Series for many seasons, the series having been in existence since 1970, and today the series provides racers with permanent and non permanent tracks that are some of the best prepared and fastest scale car on road asphalt surfaces in the United States and Canada. The series tracks for 2009 are located in Cincinnati OH, Joliet IL, Kenosha WI, Portage IN, Mentor OH, and our track in Toledo.

2009 Onroad Fuel Nationals - Sept.2-6

The One Eighth Racers of Toledo will be the hosts of the ROAR On Road Nationals for 2009. In 2004 we were the hosts for the Sedan Nationals and now we will be the hosts for the combined nationals for sedan and 1/8th cars. Our track has undergone many changes during 2008-2009 with the addition of permanent steel shelter pit areas, and pit tables, PA system upgrades and new major sponsor signage. Several more of these sheds will be added once more for the 2009 race year.

Please go to ROAR for the race entry forms. ROAR is responsible for the presentation of this race and not the Toledo Racers.
